About NYBAP

The Network of Young Bangladeshi American Professionals (NYBAP) is a national organization targeted at young professionals in the beginning and middle stages of their careers. NYBAP's founders saw the need for a network uniting young professionals from all walks of life to exchange professional experience and foster career development. Currently, NYBAP members represent a wide variety of industries including Finance, Law, Marketing, Consulting and Medicine.

 ATLANTA ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

The NYBAP Atlanta Chapter was established in June 2006. The Altanta Organizing Committee coordinates NYBAP's activities in the Atlanta area through membership in the NYBAP network. 

Sifat  

Sifat Rahman
President /Founder, ATL Chapter

Sifat is a Leader for Global Strategy within GE Energy, where he drives organic growth in the Latin America, Eastern Europe, South and South-East Asia regions. Prior to this role, Sifat worked in various branches within technology, i.e, R&D of Electric and Hybrid automotive, Reliability prediction of electronics for high-end appliances, Robotic Manufacturing, Engineering Finance and many more  at GE Industrials, Stewart & Stevenson Services, Blue Bird Corporation (Div of Volvo), and Mercedes-Benz USA, Inc. He holds an MBA from Mercer University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Alabama @ Birmingham (UAB).

Bushra Rahman

Chair – Publicity / Co-Founder, ATL Chapter

Bushra is currently a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche within the Enterprise Risk Services group. She holds a Masters degree in Internal Audit and a Bachelors in Computer Science, both from Louisiana State University. Bushra's core expertise includes External Audit for Sarbanes Oxley Compliance. In her personal time, Bushra enjoys Raquetball and reading and shopping.

Maksood Mohiuddin

Chair – Events Committee /Co- Founder, ATL Chapter

Maksood is a technology consultant with fortune five hundred companies. Maksood graduated from University of Texas - Arlington with a Bachelor's degree, and now pursuing MBA at Terry College of Business of University of Georgia. In his personal time, Maksood enjoys sports, stand-up comedies and charity works.

Rifat is Business Consultant at IBM located in Atlanta, GA. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.

Fazlul Sufiyani

Co-Chair – Events Committee / Co-Founder, ATL Chapter

Fazlul is a Vice President of Robinson Humphrey of SunTrust Banks, Inc. located in Atlanta, GA. Previously, he worked in Securitized Products Group at Deutsche Bank AG, in Debt Syndicate Finance at Lehman Brothers, Inc., at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP, and in Operations Risk Management at Morgan Stanley & Co Inc. Fazlul holds an MBA in Finance & Investments from St. John’s University, New York. He also holds a Bachelors degree from Baruch College, New York. Fazlul's core expertise includes Asset Securitization, Operations Risk Management, Credit Risk Management and Fixed Income Syndication.In his personal time, Fazlul enjoys Traveling, fishing, Cricket, Ping Pong and Music and Movies.

 

Nafis Ahmed Chowdhury

Organizing Committee Member

Nafis Chowdhury is currently working as a Senior Financial Analyst with packaging solutions group at MeadWestvaco.  Prior to this position, he worked as a Commercial Accountant with the direct marketing services division at Vertis, Inc in New Jersey.   His expertises lie in financial reporting, planning and analysis and cost accounting for Fortune 500 companies.   He holds a Bachelors as well as Masters Degree in Accounting from University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.   Nafis is also a CFM (Certified Financial Manager) and CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
